Shenglin Huang obtained his B.S. degree from Fujian Medical University in 2003, M.S. degree (2006) and Ph.D. degree (2009) from Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine in China. After graduation, Dr. Huang worked in State-key Laboratory of Oncogenes and Related Genes, Shanghai Cancer Institute. From June, 2011 through July, 2013, Dr. Huang completed Postdoctoral training in Stanford University School of Medicine. In September, 2013, Dr. Huang was recruited to Cancer Institute, Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, and was appointed as Principal Investigator. Dr. Huang was originally engaged in his scientific research on cancer epigenetics and translational medicine. He established the exLR-seq, ASJA bioinformatics tool and exoRBase database. He discovered the presence and enrichment of circular RNA in exosomes, and developed exoRBase database for human blood exosomal long RNAs. He found a novel LIN28B tumor-specific transcript in cancer. He has published more than 40 papers in SCI cited journals such as Nature Cell Biology, Cell Research, Nature Communications, Gut, Hepatology, Nucleic Acids Research and Cell Reports.

Research Focus:

1. Identification and Functional Characterization of Circular RNAs and Tumor-specific transcripts (TSTs) in human cancer;

2. Human blood exosomes long RNA sequencing (exoLR-seq) and its application in cancer diagnosis and therapy.
