Dr.Yi Qin received his bachelor’s degree from Jilin University/Shenyang Pharmaceutical university in 2003,  and graduated from Institute of Biochemistry and cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. He worked at Laboratory of Virology of Fudan University from 2011 to 2012. Since 2012, Dr.Qin worked at Cancer Research Institute of Fudan University/Shanghai Pancreatic Cancer Institute, and promoted as associate professor in 2018. His research projects mainly focus on understanding the underlying molecular mechanism that governs tumor oncogenesis, progression and metastasis of pancreatic cancer. To date, he has published nearly 20 SCI indexed papers, including Cancer Cell, Cell Research, Gut, Clinical Cancer Research, BBA Reviews Cancer and Cancer Letters.

Research Focus:

Translational research of pancreatic cancer

1. The impact of oncogenic KRAS mutation on metastasis of pancreatic cancer;

2. The physiological functions of tumor suppressor FBW7 in pancreatic cancer;

3. The roles of aberrant cancer cell metabolism to the maintenance of malignancies in pancreatic cancer.
